Overnight sleeping in a van or camper is okay the night before and after the race. It will be in the empty field next to the Cowboy Statue Park. There will be porta-potties available that night. Use CAUTION when choosing your spot if rain/snow is in the forecast - vehicles can get stuck in low spots.
